AFTER your procedure, your eye will be monitored for possible side effects, such as pressure in your eye, right after the implant is inserted and then again 2 to 7 days later. It’s important to keep up with regularly scheduled visits so your eye doctor can carefully monitor your condition.
Some of the common side effects in more than 10% of patients treated with YUTIQ are cataracts, reduced visual acuity (unclear vision), and macular edema (swelling around the retina).
It is recommended that you bring a caregiver or family member to your procedure to drive you home afterward. You may experience temporary visual blurring after receiving the YUTIQ injection. DO NOT drive or use machinery until this has been resolved.
Short procedure, lasting results—the YUTIQ implant is inserted in the eye doctor’s office and is designed to deliver a low dose of steroid for up to 36 months.

I felt it was a relatively simple procedure…in fact, the entire process was over before I knew it.
